The Cup 172 has a different belt layout to the non cup normal 172 models (which have aircon). Here are pictures showing the difference between the two layouts, kindly uploaded to the facebook group by Carl Vincent.

Here is the simpler Cup setup:

 

Here is the non cup setup which includes an airon compressor, and you can also see the alternator and power steering pumps are in a different position too, and the alternator itself is a different model (hence they cant be interchanged)
